Evergreen State Fair goes Steampunk

So I took a bunch of pictures of the The Shannahan Cabin at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe, WA. I thought it would be a good way to compare super old vintage tools to the tools that I buy at estate sales and auctions and the like. The pictures were, well, they were boring and I get distracted. A LOT. Here is one picture. I’m only going to post one because like I said it’s boring, though I do like letterpress forms for steampunk jewelry customers. Here is a sampling πŸ™‚

Original vintage letterpress. Pretty cool if you like this sort of thing.

So naturally I moved on to the barnyard animals. Duh, animals are always interesting and they have people-like antics which makes them even more amusing. Take these goats for instance. BTW I had to name the goats because my photo program kept asking me for a name.

It’s highly likely that I’m the only person in the world (besides my sister who has the same quirky sense of humor) who thinks that goats on furniture is funny but there you have it. It’s the best they (the goats) can do under the circumstances with no mountains to climb. Very thoughtful of the human caretakers to provide furniture for them. πŸ™‚

Goat attempting slide trick. It would def be a feat to stay upright on all four hooves before hitting the straw. Just saying.

Here we have the King of the Table goat. His or her? little sibling is underneath the table.
